Jennifer Hairston

Jennifer Hairston is a native of the Chattanooga area and returned to Chattanooga in 2009 after accepting an administrative position with Campbell Asset Management, LLC. This role quickly expanded covering all aspects of the business culminating with her appointment as Chief Operations Officer.  In 2016, she transitioned to Barnett & Company Inc. to further enhance their financial planning team while managing the office as VP of Operations.  In 2021, Jennifer, Chris, and George founded Apogee Wealth Partners LLC.  Her background in financial planning and operations alongside her knack for problem solving has coined her a “jenn-of-all-trades” among her colleagues.

Currently she is an online adjunct professor at the University of Alabama teaching a course on creating financial plans.  Jennifer has a Bachelor of Science in Finance, a Masters in Economics, and a Masters in Family Financial Planning and Counseling from the University of Alabama.  In 2016, the College of Human Environmental Sciences at the University of Alabama honored her with the Jack Davis Professional Achievement Award.

Chris Hopkins

Chris Hopkins, CFA, is a native of Whittier, California and has lived in his adopted hometown of Chattanooga since 1988. He blends a varied background in business, manufacturing, economics, and finance with a love of people and a passion for assisting them in pursuit of their financial goals.

He began his career in finance in 1998, following twenty years in industrial management. Chris served as Vice President of Investments with another firm from 2004 to 2021. He indulged his love of teaching as an adjunct professor of Finance for 12 years and has written a weekly financial column for the Chattanooga Times Free Press since 2010. He is a regular financial commentator on WGOW-FM and appears on WDEF-TV.

Chris is a former President of the CFA Society of East Tennessee and currently serves on the CFA East Tennessee Financial Literacy Committee whose mission is to elevate personal financial instruction in local high schools. He previously served as Treasurer on the board of the AIM Center.

He presently serves as a Trustee for the Chattanooga Fire and Police Pension Fund and is a member of the Chattanooga Board of Directors and incoming Board Chair for the American Heart Association. Chris holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) professional designation. He received bachelor’s degrees in Physics and Economics from California State University at Fullerton, and earned his MBA from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.

George Bryant

George has been helping clients grow, manage, and understand the benefits and complexities of building wealth for over 30 years. This process is multifaceted and can seem baffling. The economy, tax laws, and our life situations change frequently, and sometimes drastically. His goal is to help educate clients so they can make good choices as they navigate all the aspects of developing and keeping that wealth. George has worked in various capacities over the years, as a financial planner, insurance professional, and investment manager, in various settings including a low-cost brokerage firm, a bank trust department, and with several registered investment advisors. It has been his good fortune to have his avocation and occupation dovetail, and he is grateful to those people with whom he has had the privilege to serve.

George is a native of Spartanburg, SC, and a graduate of Wofford College with a B.S. in Economics. He received his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation in 1995. He is a member of the Estate Planning Council of Chattanooga and the Hunter Museum Chairman’s Circle.

When not working with or thinking about clients, George dabbles in travel with his wife of over 35 years and enjoys photography and science.
